Healthcare is a priority in California, and according to policymakers across the aisle, the most significant challenges are in the areas of mental health and value-based healthcare. Affordability, lack of infrastructure, labor shortages, and health equity are other top concerns for the state. California policymakers place particular emphasis on the disparities in access for lower income communities, and believe that collaboration between the public and private sectors could be helpful in addressing such inequities.
