Minnesota Deep Dive: Taxation

Taxation is a top priority among Republican policymakers in Minnesota, with 47 percent of Republicans reporting taxation as a priority, compared with only 13 percent of Democrats. Republican policy leaders believe the state needs to reduce the tax rate in order to incentivize business growth and encourage private-sector companies to do business in the state.
