Our research this year finds that policymakers on both the state and federal levels have become increasingly focused on mental health, and view it as one of the most pressing issues in the healthcare sector overall. Policy leaders recognize that challenges with affordability and access, coupled with societal stigma, has hindered many from receiving the mental health resources they may need. Policymakers across the aisle want to promote an open dialogue on mental health services and continue to discuss how the public and private sectors can collaborate to provide more comprehensive preventative care.
