Policymakers are increasingly taking stock of corporate involvement with social and political issues, sparking increased conversations about the benefits and drawbacks of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). The growing discourse makes it increasingly important for policy staff to understand ESG, since it is a new term that is not well defined in the political context.
