The passing of the Parental Rights in Education legislation, and the subsequent fallout with a prominent entertainment company that spoke out against the law, pushed corporate engagement on social issues into the spotlight.
The controversy brings into question how companies should engage on political issues, as well as the impact of such actions on business activity in the state. While Democrat and Republican perspectives on corporate engagement vary significantly, policymakers on both sides of the aisle maintain that Florida remains inviting for business investments and growth.
