[You have] a good reputation, especially from the DC perspective. But also I feel like having access to resources and being able to give feedback that moves conversation is valuable... when [advocates] come to our office with a reasonable ask and understanding what we're dealing with, it's more likely that we're able to get things done... it ends up in a better place for all of us, and more actionable, which is kind of the name of the game here, to actually get things done.”

[I think that it's helpful for you guys to know what's going on and to know what our perspective is in the building… the fact that
you guys are reaching out, wanting to know this type of information, wanting to understand, tells me you guys are wanting to succeed and not fail, which I am not going to be a hindrance to
someone trying to succeed.”

I'm willing to help out in anybody's endeavor to try and get more information about what happens in our federal government because I heavily believe in the importance of transparency about what's happening behind closed doors and in the offices of our elected officials. So I think anything that helps in that endeavor is worthy of my time."

I've had a very long career of working in the public sector and the private sector, and I think that my input is needed for people to form opinions. And one of the things that people don't realize is that when there are opinion polls or similar things done, if we don't give our input, then nobody is going to know what we like, what we don't like, what we think, and so forth, and I really appreciate when I can do that."
